Roy Kim renews contract with Wake One, "Signed based on trust"

Singer Roy Kim has renewed his contract with Wake One.

On the 1st, Wake One announced in an official statement, “We recently signed a renewal of our contract with our artist Roy Kim based on the trust we have had with him for a long time.”

He continued, “Since his debut in 2013, Roy Kim has grown into an unrivaled singer-songwriter by presenting music that combines popularity and perfection through four full-length albums, one mini-album, and various single albums and OSTs. “We promise that Wake One will provide full support as a reliable helper so that Roy Kim can continue to demonstrate his musical capabilities,” he added.

Wake One said, “We would like to thank ‘Roy Rose’ and many others for their unwavering support and love for Roy Kim. We ask for your continued interest and love for Roy Kim, who will continue to develop a deeper and wider world of music with Wake One.”

In 2019, Roy Kim was identified as a member of the so-called 'Jung Jun-young group chat room' along with Jung Joon-young, Choi Jong-hoon, and Seungri, and was investigated by the police on charges of distributing illegal videos. However, Roy Kim received a suspended indictment after it was revealed that he was not a member of the chat room in question but a member of another chat room that included Jung Joon-young.
