IU suffers cornea damage while filming movie
Singer and actress IU complained of pain while filming a movie.

Recently, a video titled ‘Somin’s PD dream of running for 3 years to achieve one goal called release’ was recently posted on IU’s YouTube channel Leegeum.

In the released video, IU went to Hungary to film the movie 'Dream' (directed by Byung-hun Lee). IU continued most of the shooting cleanly without any NG. IU showed a cheerful appearance, saying, "As long as you open your mouth, it's okay. Hungary's okay job."

However, IU complained of sudden pain, saying, “My eyes really hurt.” The reason was Hungary’s strong ultraviolet rays.

Regarding the filming conditions, he added, "I don't know. It's complex. My eyes and legs hurt, but my head is clear. My face is a little dry, but my expression is bright. Compared to what I was worried about, it's much better." He continued, "My eyes hurt so much. The sun was so strong that I think my cornea was slightly damaged. I think I understand why they say to take sunglasses with you when you go abroad."

He also shared his thoughts on the final filming of the movie. He replied, "It's a movie that depicts the years I was 28, 29, and 30. I keep losing weight on my cheeks in real time. I'm worried that the cuts I made at 28 and 30 won't stand out. Still, it was good that we filmed it for a long time. We all became close and close."

IU appeared in the movie ‘Dream’. 'Dream' is the story of Hong Dae (played by Park Seo-joon), a former soccer player with no sense of purpose, and So-min (IU), a passionate producer, who together with a ragtag group of homeless national team players attempt an impossible dream. It is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
