Ahn Young-mi, suspected of untimely childbirth

As news broke that comedian Ahn Young-mi was going to the United States, where her husband is, to give birth, she was surrounded by suspicions about her untimely childbirth.

On Shin Bong-seon's YouTube channel 'Shin Bong-seon', which was released on the 4th, fellow comedian Shin Bong-seon made a baby jeogori and presented it to Ahn Young-mi, who was about to give birth.

Ahn Young-mi announced that she was going to the United States to give birth. Shin Bong-seon was in tears and said, "I feel like crying. That's because they said they were going to the United States." Youngmi Ahn said, “I'm not going that far,” and said she was returning to Korea.

Most netizens who saw this left supportive comments, such as "The sisters' friendship is great" and "I hope you have a good birth."

However, some people were suspicious of traveling to give birth, such as, “Why go all the way to the United States to give birth?”, “Could it be that the baby is a boy, or are they trying to give him military service benefits?”, and “If my wife is in Korea, I can give birth in Korea.” As a result, a debate ensued. She refuted things like, “I have a husband in the US, so I'm just visiting,” “It's an area of choice,” and “Are you doing this because you're jealous?”

Ahn Young-mi announced the news of her pregnancy three years after marrying an office worker in 2020. The baby is due in July.
