‘Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3’ ranked first overall on Friday

In the 3rd episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3' that aired on the 5th, Teacher Kim (played by Seok-gyu Han) and Jin-man Cha (played by Kyung-young Lee) had a confrontation over the life-threatening surgery of the national ski jumping athlete.
On this day, Cha Jin-man came in as the head of the trauma center, and Doldam Hospital was turned upside down. It was revealed that recruiting Cha Jin-man was a decision made by Master Kim himself, but the Doldam Hospital family members seemed unconvinced. Cha Jin-man, who was on his first day at work, excluded not only Master Kim but also the doctors at Doldam Hospital from the list of doctors at the trauma center, and said, “Wouldn’t it have been obvious if he had learned from Boo Yong-ju (Master Kim)? He ignored it, saying, “It’s either reckless or predictable.” Master Kim, who was confident in the skills of Doldam Hospital’s doctors, provoked Cha Jin-man by saying, “I’m afraid they may have opened up the game even though they don’t have any confidence.”
Meanwhile, Seo Woo-jin and Jang Dong-hwa (Lee Shin-young) had a conflict over a patient from the national ski jumping team. The patient complained of abdominal pain even though there was no major trauma and the CT results showed no problems. Seo Woo-jin was discharged from the hospital, saying he was faking it, and Jang Dong-hwa suggested giving him fluids and letting him rest for a few hours. In response, Seo Woo-jin said, “Doctors can feel sorry for their patients. But he drew the line, saying, “Just stop there.” Seo Woo-jin treated his junior Jang Dong-hwa more harshly, and Jang Dong-hwa became frustrated with Seo Woo-jin's methods and went astray.
However, the national ski jumping athlete that Seo Woo Jin had sent back came back as an emergency patient, shocking everyone. The patient suffered a fatal injury with a broken leg. Seo Woo-jin, who fell into a panic for a moment, gathered himself together and did what he had to do as a doctor, but he severely criticized Jang Dong-hwa, who was losing his mind, and seemed to lose his composure, which was not typical of Seo Woo-jin. To Jeong In-soo (played by Yoon Na-mu), who was worried about this, Seo Woo-jin said, “The patient comes first now. “This is not the time to check Jang Dong-hwa’s feelings,” he said.
That's how the surgery for the national ski jumping team began, and Seo Woo-jin asked Master Kim to perform nerve suture surgery. This is because it was thought that being unable to jump again due to nerve damage was tantamount to a death sentence for an athlete. Cha Jin-man objected to this and insisted on the principle, “In all surgeries, the patient’s life comes first, safety comes next, and functional selection comes last.” I thought that fixing blood vessels was more important than suturing nerves.
Master Kim was worried about what would be the best option for the patient. And after much deliberation, I decided on nerve suture surgery. The decision was made because the blood color of the patient's left foot was checked, which meant that one of the two arteries was intact. Cha Jin-man was angry with Master Kim for not following the principles. When her daughter, Cha Eun-jae, tried to follow Master Kim into the operating room, she stopped him, saying, “Are you going to perform such an impulsive and reckless surgery with me?”
In response, Cha Eun-jae showed trust in Master Kim, saying, "It's not that he's reckless, but he's seeing things that we can't see." Seo Woojin said, “I just put one thing on my head and go. save it Save no matter what happens. “This was the first lesson the teacher gave us,” he added. To Cha Jin-man, who said, “You guys are so crazy together, aren’t you?” Seo Woo-jin said, “Sometimes there are areas you can’t reach without going crazy. Master called it romance. “That is how we have saved people’s lives until now,” he said, expressing his beliefs as a doctor who learned from Master Kim.
