After Ten Asia's first report that girl group Mamamoo member Hwasa was causing controversy by performing an obscene performance at a university festival, there are speculations that tvN's 'Dance Singer Wandering Troupe' activities may also face setbacks.

On the 12th, Hwasa attended the Daedong Festival, a festival at Sungkyunkwan University, along with Kim Wan-seon and Lee Hyo-ri, who formed the 'Wandering Dance Singer Troupe'. He performed Mamamoo's medley as well as the song 'Don't Give Me' with Loco. However, the response is that his performance crossed the 'line'.

Hwasa has been attracting attention with her sexy concept. On the Daedongje stage, he made a gesture of licking his hand with his tongue and then placed his hand on a specific body part. Although there were cheers at the scene, Hwasa's image captured on video spread to online communities and social media, causing widespread controversy.

The reason Hwasa came on stage at Daedong Festival was to film part of 'Dance Singer Wandering Troupe'. 'Dance Singer Wandering Troupe' is an entertainment show featuring Kim Wan-sun, Uhm Jung-hwa, Lee Hyori, BoA, and Hwasa traveling around the country, entering people's daily lives, meeting fans face-to-face, and enjoying a national tour concert. This entertainment show is suitable for audiences aged 15 and over. On the other hand, Hwasa's performance was rated as not suitable for viewing by minors.

Daedongje is a festival hosted by Sungkyunkwan University, but it is not enjoyed only by adults. Even if it is a university festival, it is a public event. Accordingly, various age groups, including current students, family visitors, and youth audiences, enjoy the festival. Reactions to Hwasa's performance are pouring in that it is excessive.

In particular, Lee Hyo-ri, who went on stage that day, said, "It's been a long time since I heard cheers like this. When I was young, I heard cheers like this every day, but back then, I didn't know if I was happy or good. I went down to Jeju Island for a while and had a quiet time, and then I heard cheers again on stage. “When I hear this, I can’t help but feel how grateful I am,” he said. Also, the words he wanted to convey to college students were, "Guys, let's live well. Let's live happily."

Lee Hyori and Hwasa appeared on the university festival stage as part of the broadcast, but the reactions to the two were completely different. Hyori Lee swore at the cheers she hadn't heard in a long time. Although it could be seen as an insult in and of itself, it was because it was a remark that could have been made in the heat of a festival. Lee Hyo-ri kept the line and decorated her stage. There are many opinions that Hwasa crossed the line by creating an obscene feeling.

Previously, Hwasa appeared in the 2018 'MAMA' and the 2018 SBS 'Gayo Daejeon' and was embroiled in controversy over the sensational nature of her stage outfits. In relation to this, Hwasa said, "I thought about what I should wear on stage to look the best and how I could pull it off well." 'Dance Singer Wandering Troupe' began a full-scale tour, but even before the broadcast, Hwasa's performance caused controversy.
