Actor Song Deok-ho's sentencing hearing will be held today (17th).

On the afternoon of the 17th, the sentencing hearing for Song Deok-ho, who is accused of violating the Military Service Act, will be held at Criminal Division 9 of the Seoul Southern District Court (Judge Kim Yun-hee). Song Deok-ho was sentenced to one year in prison by prosecutors last month.

Last January, Song Deok-ho became controversial due to military service corruption. In 2013, Song Deok-ho was diagnosed with a level 3 eye disease during his first physical examination, but he postponed his enlistment several times.

Afterwards, when he was again judged to be a level 3 subject to active duty service, Song Deok-ho visited a broker for a reduction in military service. Song Deok-ho conspired with a broker, made up symptoms of epilepsy, received a false diagnosis, and received a reduction in military service, but was then accused of violating the Military Service Act.

At the time, his agency, Beasters Entertainment, said, "Song Deok-ho was looking for information on the Internet to postpone his military service around the summer of last year, and after receiving counseling through a blog run by Mr. “I was judged to be a level 4 social worker through an unfair method,” he said.
