MIDNATT (midnat), 'Ego Paradox' pictorial release
MIDNATT's pictorial for the June issue of Marie Claire, a fashion magazine, was released on the 23rd.

This pictorial expresses the two selves of MIDNATT (midnat) who are in conflict between the utopia they want to reach as an artist and the nostalgia for the past. Just like the Korean word for 'midnight' (midmatt, Swedish), the end of one day and the beginning of another day, in the blink of an eye on the boundary, reveals his determination to awaken a new life.

In fact, the mysterious and dreamy atmosphere of MIDNATT is impressive. The combination of the two selves in one frame using shaking and shadows, and the tone and manner using various colors and lights seem to symbolize MIDNATT's ambitions and hopes.

MIDNATT said in an interview, “It is difficult to have opportunities to grow or change after doing the same job for more than 10 years. MIDNATT's album contains attempts that would not have been made if Lee Hyun had released an album. I want to try music that is a little out of the center and on the border,” he confessed his feelings about change as a singer.

“One of the meanings of the name MIDNATT is midnight, and at the same time it refers to the time of the dark night, there is also a hope that it will become bright again. Also, I am afraid and excited at the same time to stand in front of the public with a new look called MIDNATT. I substituted all these contradictory feelings into a love story and put them in 'Masquerade'.”

MIDNATT (midnat) is singer Lee Hyun's 'alternative self' and is the main character of 'Project L', a collaboration between Big Hit Music and Hive IM. This project, which was conducted to deliver the artist's message without limiting music, has made many music fans expect a variety of experiences and the expansion of the global influence of the K-pop industry.
