“I just wanted an actor who could rap and dance” Top, the whole story of ‘Squid Game 2’ casting
It was reported that TOP from Big Bang took on the role of a retired idol in 'Squid Game 2', but Netflix is expected to reveal its position later.

SBS reported on the 7th that it was not true that the suspicion that the actors had influenced the return of TOP was raised.

According to reports, TOP appeared as a retired idol in the play, and director Hwang Dong-hyeok found an actor who could rap and dance and cast TOP.

Previously, on the 29th of last month, Netflix announced the casting of Season 2 of 'Squid Game'. Following the first line-up Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun, the second line-up Park Gyu-young, Cho Yu-ri, Lee Jin-wook, Won Jin-ah, and Choi Seung-hyun (top) opened and drew attention.

However, critical reactions poured in from public opinion, including social media and online communities, over former Big Bang member TOP. The reason is that T.O.P was sentenced to 10 months in prison and 2 years probation for smoking cannabis in 2016, and then stopped acting for 7 years. Suspicions arose as to whether he was cast because of someone's acquaintance or influence.

Meanwhile, 'Squid Game 2' is the second series of 'Squid Game', which tells the story of people who participated in a survival game with a prize of 45.6 billion won, risking their lives to challenge extreme games to become the final winner.
