Korean actress Ko Jun-hee candidly shared her difficulty in parting with luxury clothing worth millions of won.
On October 4th, Ko Jun-hee's YouTube channel 'Ko Jun-hee GO' released a video titled 'Ko Jun-hee's Epic Wardrobe Reveal'.
In the video, Ko invited stylist Lee Min-kyu to her home to help organize her wardrobe. The racks were filled with luxury brand clothes, prompting the stylist to exclaim, "Just grabbing anything, it's Chanel!"
Ko Jun-hee humorously admitted, "This place is a bit overwhelming. I've never organized my clothes before." She explained her reluctance to discard clothes, saying, "Trends come back around, so I can't throw them away. I've been holding onto them for over 10 years."
A standout piece was a high-priced coat worth around 10 million won. Pointing to a long shearling coat, Ko remarked, "I think I bought this for about 10 million won. Have I worn it twice?" She added, "I need to wear it at least 10 more times before I can let it go."
Ko also compared herself to Hollywood stars, saying, "Hollywood stars don't wear expensive clothes more than once because of paparazzi. I've already posted it on Instagram and worn it enough, but I still need to wear it more."
She also revealed practical reasons for holding onto her clothes. "I don't earn as much as I used to. I'm older, and the advertising industry has changed," Ko confessed. "I bought a lot of Chanel before the prices went up. Now, everything is over 10 million won, so I can't buy them anymore."
Ko, who purchased many luxury items when she was earning more, stated, "I have enough clothes to wear something different every day of the year, but I end up wearing similar outfits when I go out." She added, "I want to pass these luxury items down to my daughter or daughter-in-law someday."
Organizing her wardrobe proved challenging. Ko admitted, "I haven't shopped in a while. I want to live a minimalist lifestyle," yet she seemed taken aback when her stylist suggested selling her luxury clothes at a flea market for 50,000 to 400,000 won.
