TV personality Yang Sang-guk has decided to quit a marriage agency following criticism over his behavior on the show 'Pinggye-go.' He had previously apologized for comments deemed patriarchal.
On the October 4th episode of 'Joseon's Love Conqueror,' Han Yoon-seo became emotional recalling her difficult early career. She confessed, "I wanted to escape abroad and faced a lot of disrespect," and shared how her first fan, who turned out to be her mother, supported her by leaving encouraging comments on every article about her. The touching story moved the show's hosts to tears. Jeong Yi-rang empathized, saying, "I've been on TV since I was 26, but people don't know me well. My mom always asks if I did well today."
Meanwhile, before meeting her future in-laws, the '41-year-old bride-to-be' Han Yoon-seo was excitedly dressed in a sparkling gown, asking if she looked like Seolhyun. Studio host Choi Sung-kook sighed, "She's doing everything she shouldn't." Han's mother surprised her with a visit to Seoul, bringing homemade dishes like strawberries and cockle salad. However, the cheerful atmosphere was dampened when her fiancé delivered the news that the meeting with his mother was canceled. After several calls, he learned from his aunt that his mother was concerned about Han's past TV appearances, particularly her drinking habits and the nickname 'Poop Collector.' Despite the tension, he managed to arrange a meeting between Han and his father. The episode teased a reveal of the future mother-in-law's true feelings.
Meanwhile, '42-year-old bachelor' Yang Sang-guk visited a marriage agency previously featured by Kim Hak-rae and Im Mi-sook. The agency, which focuses on matchmaking rather than dating, rated Yang as a '6th tier,' the lowest level. Shocked by the rating, Yang was told by an expert that despite being in a lower tier, he could still meet women from the 2nd tier.
Yang ultimately decided to leave the agency, expressing his disapproval of ranking people by tiers. He announced plans to form a '666 Club' for men like him who want to marry. He humorously called comedian Lee Sang-min, immediately accepting him for not owning a house, and set strict criteria excluding those with four-year degrees or insurance, bringing laughter to the studio.
TV CHOSUN's 'Joseon's Love Conqueror' airs every Monday at 10 PM.
