In the latest episode of the Wavve original survival show 'Betting on Fact,' aired on the 1st, Jang Dong-min and Lee Yong-jin have secured over '20,000 coins' each, positioning themselves as the frontrunners in the competition as they head into the final round.
Episode 7 of the fact-checking survival show 'Betting on Fact' featured eight players: Jang Dong-min, Ye-won, Lee Yong-jin, Jin Joong-kwon, Jung Young-jin, Hellmouse, Park Sung-min, and Kang Jeon-ae. Following the 'Opinion Leader' round 6, they engaged in the 'Fact Combo Challenge' in round 7, delivering another nail-biting showdown. The day's play saw Jang Dong-min's dominant lead transform into a 'two-strong' race with Lee Yong-jin, heightening anticipation for the final round's outcome.
During the third match of round 6 'Opinion Leader,' Jang Dong-min bet 13,000 coins alone on the news 'Korean men in their 20s and 30s choosing Japan for employment and marriage,' labeling it 'fake.' However, the news turned out to be 'fact,' resulting in a loss of 13,000 coins. Meanwhile, Jung Young-jin's team, who chose 'fact,' doubled their bet of 11,160 coins. The 'faker' succeeded in the hidden mission of preventing all players from earning over 5,000 coins, narrowing down the 'faker' candidates to Jang Dong-min, Ye-won, who plummeted from second to last in coin holdings, and Hellmouse, who had suspicious plays in previous rounds.
The subsequent round 7 'Fact Combo Challenge' was an individual game where players judged the truth of news based solely on headlines, aiming to build 'combo coins' through consecutive correct answers. The player with the most combos would receive an additional 2,000 coins. In this opportunity to earn the most coins in history, Jang Dong-min and Lee Yong-jin demonstrated sharp insight, achieving a '9-combo' streak from the start. Jang Dong-min continued with a 7-combo, and Lee Yong-jin with a 6-combo, impressing fellow players with their accuracy. Jang Dong-min amassed a total of 24,200 coins, securing another victory. Although Lee Yong-jin failed to answer correctly on the pivotal 17th question, he accumulated 22,100 coins, emerging as a strong contender for the win.
After the round, Jang Dong-min expressed concern, saying, "I realized Lee Yong-jin has caught up significantly." In contrast, Lee Yong-jin remarked, "Jang Dong-min is only human; he should feel the pressure of being chased," and added, "I'm just waiting for him to make a mistake in the final round," revealing his ambition for the 'ultimate victory' and raising expectations for the finale.
The final episode of Wavve's original 'Betting on Fact,' where the winner and the 'faker' will be revealed, will be exclusively available on Wavve at 11 AM on the 8th.
