Singer Baek Ji-young was moved to tears as she and her husband, Jung Suk-won, envisioned their lives 30 years into the future.
On October 2, Baek Ji-young's YouTube channel released a video showing the couple transformed into a 70-year-old couple through special effects makeup, capturing their emotional date.
In the video, the couple sees each other as elderly individuals and engages in a heartfelt conversation about their future in their 70s.
Baek Ji-young wrote a letter to her future 70-year-old husband, Jung Suk-won. She was moved to tears even before she began writing, reaching for tissues.
Baek Ji-young tearfully said, “I imagined our grandchildren,” as she cried.
The couple also took time to read letters they had written to each other under the cherry blossoms.
In her letter, Baek Ji-young expressed, “I’ve been so happy with you for over 40 years. Thank you for being healthy and a reliable husband and father. It feels like just yesterday we sent Haim off to get married, and now our grandchild is already 9 years old.”
Jung Suk-won also shared his heartfelt message to Baek Ji-young. He smiled as he said, “Wow, I wrote a lot of letters.”
While taking longevity photos in their elderly makeup, Baek Ji-young was moved to tears again as she watched Jung Suk-won take a solo photo.
After the photo session, Baek Ji-young shared her feelings, saying, “It felt so strange,” as she continued to cry. Jung Suk-won lightened the mood by joking, “I’m 9 years younger,” bringing laughter.
Their daughter, Haim, upon seeing Baek Ji-young in elderly makeup, said, “Mom, I think I’ll cry when you become a grandmother,” and upon seeing Jung Suk-won’s photo, remarked, “It’s so sad. Dad looks even older,” adding to the emotional moment.
Meanwhile, Baek Ji-young and Jung Suk-won married in 2013 and have one daughter together.
