During the episode, Grand Prince Ian confronts Seong Hee-joo about her avoidance following their kiss during a yacht date, asking, "Are you uncomfortable? Is it because of what happened yesterday?" Seong Hee-joo tries to downplay the situation, saying, "It would have been the same with anyone," but Ian surprises her by confessing, "Not for me. It wasn't just the mood; it was because it was you."
The two proceed with their royal wedding in front of the nation, but the ceremony takes a tense turn when Seong Hee-joo suddenly collapses.
While Seong Hee-joo recovers in a private hospital room, Grand Prince Ian visits her, embracing her tightly and expressing his concern, "I thought I was going to lose you." He then adds a hint of romance by asking, "Are you ready for our first night as a married couple?"
The preview for the next episode teases further developments as Seong Hee-joo is heard saying, "Poisoned?"
Meanwhile, the episode also reveals past events surrounding the death of the former king, Lee Hwan (played by Sung Joon). Yoon Sung-won (played by Jo Jae-yoon) encounters his distraught daughter Yoon Yi-rang (played by Gong Seung-yeon) after the incident, who confesses that Lee Hwan intended to abdicate in favor of Grand Prince Ian and that she burned everything.
However, the episode ends with a twist as Grand Prince Ian opens a safe in his office, revealing a partially burned royal decree that Yoon Yi-rang thought she had destroyed. This discovery raises questions about its potential impact on the ongoing power struggle for the throne.
