On the 30th, IU's channel '이지금' featured a video titled 'The 21st Century Cooking Method That Even the Royal Court Lady Was Surprised By'.
The video showcased IU and Park Jun-myeon, co-stars of the MBC drama '21st Century Grand Lady', cooking together and sharing stories.
While making nabak-kimchi and beef skewers with shishito peppers, the two naturally began discussing their filming experiences.
IU mentioned the on-set atmosphere, saying, "The court lady always waited for her juniors out of consideration," to which Park Jun-myeon replied, "I really enjoyed being on set."
Park Jun-myeon continued, addressing IU, "Our Director Sung worked really hard during filming," to which IU responded, "Thanks to the court lady, we had many fun scenes."
Their conversation naturally shifted to acting. Park Jun-myeon recalled her first meeting with IU and shared her initial thoughts.
She confessed, "I thought, 'IU? Let's see how well she does.'" She added her impressions from working together, saying, "She acted so skillfully," making IU laugh.
Park Jun-myeon also mentioned, "Watching Director Sung Hee-joo's acting in this project is a big highlight," and admitted, "I often thought, 'She's really good.'"
IU reminisced about memorable scenes with the court lady, and the two continued sharing behind-the-scenes stories in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Meanwhile, both are starring in the MBC drama '21st Century Grand Lady' as Sung Hee-joo and Choi Jin-sook, respectively. The drama is set in a constitutional monarchy in 21st-century Korea, depicting a romance between a wealthy woman frustrated by her commoner status and a prince who is saddened by his inability to possess anything.
