Comedians Kim Shin-young and Song Eun-yi have addressed rumors of a feud on the KBS2 show 'Problematic Men in Rooftop Room.'
On the episode aired on the 30th, Kim Shin-young reflected on her past when she lost weight down to 44kg and shared her current status.
She humorously remarked, “I experienced a rebound, but people really like it. I might be the first celebrity to do so,” adding, “I lost 44kg in a year but have now returned to a healthier state.”
Kim Shin-young also shared a unique connection with her senior, Kim Sook.
She recounted a real estate consultation story, saying, “I wanted to buy a house in Eungbong-dong and asked Kim Sook for advice, but she warned me of a 'second IMF,' so I didn't buy it. That house's price has since increased eightfold.”
She added, “Kim Sook was certain there wouldn't be a subway station, but one was built immediately after.” This revelation surprised the show's cast.
The topic then shifted to rumors of a 'feud' with Song Eun-yi. When Kim Jong-kook asked Song Eun-yi about her feelings when Kim Shin-young decided not to renew her contract and went independent, Song Eun-yi shared her honest thoughts.
Song Eun-yi confessed, “To be honest, I don't know if it was a feeling of disappointment, but I did feel sad. We were like family, and I was confused about what to do.”
Kim Shin-young explained her reason for going independent, saying, “I wanted to see her as a senior for a long time.” Song Eun-yi responded, “With time, I came to understand that. I wasn't completely cool about it, but there was sadness.”
Both comedians dismissed the online rumors. Kim Shin-young stated, “Usually, people expect women to fight by pulling hair, but there were rumors we had a fistfight. It was the most absurd thing.”
The two resolved their four-year misunderstanding with a hug at Kim Sook's request.
