In the released episodes, customs officer Hee-joo has endured repeated violence and threats under the guise of family. While working at the Goldland casino, she meets pilot Lee Do-kyung (played by Lee Hyun-wook) and dreams of happiness for the first time. However, a sudden accident shatters everything, and she finds herself back in the most dreadful place with 150 billion won worth of gold bars.

Park Bo-young has been beloved by the public for her warm and bright image in numerous works. Known for her charming and detailed performances, she showcased a mature and weighty character in her previous work 'Unknown Seoul'. Now, with 'Goldland', she presents yet another different face. Unlike her successful transformation in 'Unknown Seoul', her dark portrayal in 'Goldland' offers a fresh perspective to the audience.
