The latest episode of 'I Am Solo' left the show's hosts feeling sympathetic over contestant Young-chul's distinctive perspectives and way of speaking.
On the episode aired on the 29th, ENA and SBS Plus's 'I Am SOLO' featured a date between Young-chul and Young-ja.
During their date, Young-chul failed to reassure Young-ja about long-distance relationships, leading to a series of mismatched conversations.
In particular, Young-chul discussed financial matters with Young-ja, stating, "I don't mind if a woman isn't capable. Since I don't earn much, we can live within those means," but added, "However, I don't want to eat soy sauce egg rice every day."
Defconn, observing this, remarked, "Soy sauce egg rice? Young-chul's words seem to lack vision," while Song Hae-na noted, "He doesn't seem to have a way with words."
Young-chul's communication style continued to raise eyebrows. When Young-ja asked about dining with male friends, Young-chul responded with the criterion, "As long as he's less attractive than me, it's fine." This prompted Song Hae-na to express her frustration, saying, "Oh, come on. Speak nicely."
The production team also chimed in with captions like "Every time he opens his mouth, -10 points," adding humor to the situation.
Ultimately, Young-ja candidly expressed her thoughts, saying, "I wish he'd stop saying 'I don't know,'" and in an interview with the production team, she firmly stated, "I don't think we're compatible. I really dislike avoidant types."
