Actress Hwang Bo-ra candidly shared her emotional struggles with the realities of parenting.
On the 28th, a video titled 'Hwang Bo-ra's First Amusement Park Experience with Her 1-Year-Old Son: Vomiting and Collapsing' was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Hwang Bo-ra Variety'.
In the video, Hwang Bo-ra embarked on a spring outing with her college friends and their families. Expressing her excitement, she mentioned, "This trip has been planned for a month," and wondered whether the day would bring "easy parenting or tough parenting" as they set off.
Despite her initial excitement about group parenting, reality hit hard. Upon arriving at the amusement park, her son Woo-in was constantly on the move, urging "Mom, hurry up," leaving Hwang Bo-ra struggling to keep up. At one point, she admitted, "I can't do this," and eventually decided to give up on the rides altogether.
As time passed, Woo-in's energy only intensified. At the kids' café, he continued to demand "Mom, hurry up," and showed interest in other children's snacks, making it difficult for Hwang Bo-ra to manage the situation. She expressed her exhaustion, saying, "Woo-in can't handle the rides, and I can't control him."
Her emotions finally erupted on the highway. Overwhelmed by her son's constant whining in the car, Hwang Bo-ra confessed, "I'm so tired," revealing her breaking point. She pleaded, "I can't handle this. I can't manage or control him. Please help me. What should I do?"
Reflecting on her parenting style, Hwang Bo-ra questioned, "What is wrong with Woo-in? It must be our parenting style that's wrong," expressing self-doubt. She added, "It seems to be getting harder. Woo-in might need counseling," highlighting her realistic concerns about parenting.
Amidst the joys and challenges of parenting, Hwang Bo-ra's heartfelt confession, "It's too hard to endure with just love," resonated with many.
Meanwhile, Hwang Bo-ra is married to Cha Hyun-woo (real name Kim Young-hoon), the younger brother of actor Ha Jung-woo and the second son of actor Kim Yong-gun. The couple has a son, Woo-in, and recently attempted IVF for a second child.
