Korean Actress Ko So-young Opens Up About YouTube Video Deletion and Rumors

Korean actress Ko So-young has revealed the reasons behind deleting her YouTube videos and the pain caused by rumors.

On the 28th, Ko So-young uploaded a video titled 'The Reason Ko So-young Deleted All Her YouTube Videos (Confession)' on her YouTube channel.

In the video, Ko So-young discussed her month-long hiatus from YouTube, saying, "I spent the time worrying too much. I wondered if I was okay and developed an obsession," she confessed.

Regarding the change of her channel name, she explained, "Since I haven't been active for a long time, I thought many young people might not know me, so I named it 'That Ko So-young.' But it felt like I was boasting, 'I am that Ko So-young.'"

Ko So-young addressed the prejudice surrounding her, saying, "The most upsetting comment is 'Ko So-young can live off just doing commercials.' In fact, I am someone who wanted to express myself," she emphasized. She added, "I have a thirst for acting."

She also spoke about the rumors she faced during her past activities. Ko So-young said, "I think I was exhausted by the media. I have many male friends, but they were edited to create dating rumors, and whenever there was a 'K' in the gossip column, it was always me," she shared. "There was even a rumor that I had a child before marriage."

She continued, "I was filming commercials all year round, so when would I have had the time to be pregnant and have a child? I thought it was nonsensical and ignored it, but some people actually believed it," she said.

Ko So-young confessed, "I felt that I couldn't get married unless I cleared up these rumors. I had to explain it to my future children, so I eventually filed a lawsuit," she admitted, adding, "It felt humiliating."

Meanwhile, Ko So-young married actor Jang Dong-gun in May 2010, and they have a son and a daughter.
