Nedra Talley Ross, Last Surviving Member of The Ronettes, Passes Away at 80
Nedra Talley Ross, the last surviving member of the legendary 1960s girl group The Ronettes, has passed away.

According to Page Six and The Ronettes' official social media channels, Nedra Talley Ross peacefully passed away at her home on the morning of the 26th, surrounded by her family. She was 80 years old.

In a statement, The Ronettes expressed, "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nedra Talley Ross. She was a beacon of light to those who knew and loved her."

They continued, "As a founding member of The Ronettes, her voice, style, and spirit helped define a sound that changed the course of music history. Her legacy will be remembered forever."

Her daughter, Nedra K. Ross, also shared on social media, "At around 8:30 this morning, my mother peacefully returned to the Lord's embrace, feeling the love of her family." The exact cause of death has not been disclosed.

The Ronettes, consisting of lead vocalist Ronnie Spector, her sister Estelle Bennett, and cousin Nedra Talley Ross, became one of the top girl groups of their time after signing with producer Phil Spector in 1963. They produced numerous hits, including 'Be My Baby' and 'Baby, I Love You.'

The group disbanded in 1967. Estelle Bennett passed away in 2009 at the age of 67 after battling colon cancer, and Ronnie Spector died of cancer in 2022. With the passing of Nedra Talley Ross, the era of The Ronettes has now become a part of history.
