Korean Entertainer Lee Hyuk-jae Shares Marriage Story After 24 Years

Korean entertainer Lee Hyuk-jae has opened up about his marriage story after 24 years.

Recently, a video titled 'The Shocking Reason Lee Hyuk-jae Believes in Rigged Elections After Marrying Through Deception(?)' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Toilet Clinic.' In the video, Lee candidly discusses his peak years in the entertainment industry, his current political activities, and his family.

In the video, Lee revealed, "I fell in love at first sight with my wife, who was attending Incheon National University of Education, and after persistent courting, I was able to marry her." He reminisced, "I was studying mechanical engineering at Inha University, and during my third year, I kept watching the women coming out of Incheon National University of Education." He continued, "A very beautiful woman appeared, so I met with the class president and proposed a group date, asking him to bring her along."

This marked the beginning of Lee's active pursuit. He pleaded with his wife, "Please date me." However, after about 50 days, she said, "I don't think this is right." In response, Lee knelt for three hours, begging, "Please, I implore you, please date me." Lee recalled his wife's words, "She said she dated me because she felt sorry for me."

Previously, Lee Hyuk-jae halted his entertainment activities in 2010 following an assault incident involving a hostess. In 2024, he was listed as a high-value tax defaulter for owing over 200 million won. Additionally, in 2021, he was sued for fraud for failing to repay millions borrowed from an acquaintance, and in 2017, he lost a lawsuit against his former agency, resulting in a court order to pay over 200 million won, leading to ongoing 'debt scandal' controversies.

Meanwhile, Lee Hyuk-jae married an elementary school teacher in 2002 and has two sons and a daughter.
