Actors Park Bo-young and Kim Hee-won have opened up about the dating rumor that surfaced six years ago.

On the 24th, a video titled 'Golden Friendship is Just an Excuse' was released on the YouTube channel 'DdeunDdeun'.

In the video, Yoo Jae-suk hosted Kim Hee-won, Lee Kwang-soo, and Park Bo-young, stars of the Disney+ series 'Goldland', for a chat.

Park Bo-young recalled the dating rumor with Kim Hee-won, who is 19 years her senior, which became an issue six years ago. She explained that they were close friends and had gone to visit a director they both knew outside of the city, spending time together and having meals. She added, "It seemed like it was just the two of us hanging out. Lee Kwang-soo was supposed to come too, but he couldn't make it."

Park Bo-young said, "The dating rumor first appeared on social media. A friend sent it to me, and I laughed it off. Then it became a news article," she recalled. "My dad received a lot of calls. People were saying, 'Bo-young's boyfriend is too old.'"

She continued, "I thought I should clarify that it wasn't true, but at the time, I was in the process of changing agencies, so I didn't have a company to make a statement for me." She added, "I called Kim Hee-won, but he was very sick and just said, 'I don't know,' so I hung up. He sounded like he was on his deathbed," she said, bringing laughter.

Park Bo-young revealed that she posted a clarification on her fan cafe. She said, "I wrote a public post saying, 'I guess I've grown up,' and explained that we were just good senior-junior friends. It was my first dating rumor."

Kim Hee-won also reminisced about that time. He said, "I've never received so many calls in my life. My manager kept calling, saying we needed to make an official statement. I said, 'Just say it's not true. That's the official statement,'" he added, bringing more laughter. "Even when the rumor came out, no one believed it. The initial texts I got were like, 'Are you kidding?' and 'I'll kill you.'"

Lee Kwang-soo mentioned, "The three of us went to a restaurant, but only the two of them were photographed," referring to the photos taken at the time. Park Bo-young explained, "We were arguing over who would pay the bill. The director was in the background." Kim Hee-won added, "The pose was exactly like that. When I said, 'I'll pay,' I was telling her to 'move aside.'"

Park Bo-young admitted that the dating rumor made things awkward between them for a while. She said, "We were really close, but because of that, we didn't talk for a year. I suddenly got angry and called him, asking if that was why he hadn't been in touch. He said he felt too sorry to contact me. I told him I was more upset that our friendship was so fragile." She added that they remain close friends.
