Shin Dong-yup Reveals His Daughter's Surprising Drinking Capacity on 'My Little Old Boy'
Comedian Shin Dong-yup shared a humorous story about his daughter's unexpected drinking capacity after entering Seoul National University on the recent episode of SBS's 'My Little Old Boy' aired on the 26th.

The episode featured actor Cha Tae-hyun, who talked about his daily life with his children. Cha Tae-hyun mentioned the changes in his relationship with his now-adult son, saying, "We didn't talk much before, but now that he's 20, we are definitely more comfortable. Sometimes we even have a drink or two and talk a lot."

He added, "I didn't even call him by his name until he was in high school, but now I do it confidently," lightening the mood.

Listening to this, Shin Dong-yup naturally brought up his daughter. He said, "After my daughter went to college, things became much more relaxed. There seem to be a lot of gatherings at school, and it looks like she drinks quite a bit," drawing attention. Seo Jang-hoon responded with a meaningful comment, "Who is her father, after all?"

Shin Dong-yup also shared how he discovered his daughter's drinking capacity. "I asked her, 'How much did you drink?' and she showed me her phone with the number 23 written on it. She had been keeping track of each shot of soju she drank," he explained, surprising everyone.

Cha Tae-hyun asked, "Isn't 23 shots of soju a lot?" to which Shin Dong-yup replied with a laugh, "She made sure everyone was taken care of and sent them home in taxis." The story of his daughter not only handling her drinks but also looking after others left the studio in awe.

Seo Jang-hoon added humor by saying, "You can't deny the father's DNA." Previously, Shin Dong-yup expressed his affection for his daughter, saying, "A daughter does all the filial piety she can until she's about 12 years old."

Meanwhile, Shin Dong-yup married PD Sun Hye-yoon in 2006, and they have a son and a daughter. His daughter, Shin Ji-hyo, recently got accepted into both the Korea National University of Arts and Seoul National University's College of Education (majoring in Dance and Ballet) and chose to attend Seoul National University.

Notably, her mother, PD Sun Hye-yoon, is an alumna of Seoul National University's Department of German Education, making them alumni of the same university.
