On October 26 at 7:30 AM, MBN's new show 'Health Alumni - Are You Okay? I'm Okay!' will premiere, focusing on immunity. The show will address health concerns relatable to those in their 50s and 60s, featuring inspiring stories of overcoming health challenges. Hosted by Kim Won-hee and Park Hyun-bin, the show will include insights from three medical experts and a special guest known for their health achievements.
The first episode's health star guest is comedian Lee Seong-mi, 66, who overcame a long battle with breast cancer. She emphasizes the importance of maintaining immunity as a key to protecting oneself from various illnesses. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, Lee underwent 12 surgeries and was declared cancer-free in 2018.
Lee Seong-mi teases her personal immunity-boosting methods, playfully stating, "It's hard to share for free," prompting co-host Park Hyun-bin to serenade her on the spot, lightening the mood.
Host Kim Won-hee shared her thoughts on the first recording, saying, "I felt a great responsibility as I faced a barrage of questions from health novice Park Hyun-bin." Park Hyun-bin made a strong impression with his inquisitive nature, dominating the studio atmosphere from day one.
The episode will explore the relationship between immunity and body temperature, reasons for declining immunity with age, and habits to enhance immunity in daily life, all explained by medical experts.
The show will delve into why health disparities occur among people of the same age and offer tailored solutions to confidently answer, "I'm doing great!" when asked, "Are you okay these days?"
Lee Seong-mi, who debuted in 1980 through the TBC Comedy Contest, has since appeared in shows like 'Truth Game' and 'Lee Seong-mi's Story Show.' She married in 1993 and has one son and two daughters.
