'Full Count' depicts the survival struggle of individuals who risk everything in the cutthroat world of professional baseball management. Scheduled to air in 2027, 'Full Count' marks SBS's return to baseball dramas, following the 2019 hit 'Stove League' starring Namkoong Min.
Kim Rae-won and Park Hoon have been confirmed as the lead actors. Kim Rae-won, known for his reliable performances, returns to television after four years, while Park Hoon, recognized for his versatility across genres and platforms, joins him, promising a powerful synergy.
Kim Rae-won will play Hwang Jin-ho, the interim manager of the popular team Stars, who is on the brink of missing the playoffs. A former catcher and battery coach, Hwang spent most of his playing career as a backup. Despite being a well-regarded coach, he has lived as an outsider in the Stars' insular environment. Taking on the role of interim manager, he dives into a life-altering storm.
Park Hoon will portray Jo Dong-hee, a legendary pitcher for the Stars and the top candidate for the next manager. Despite his illustrious career, he lacks a championship win, driving him to aim for a title as a coach. He views competing with Hwang Jin-ho, a former second-rate player, for the managerial position as humiliating and is determined to use Hwang as a stepping stone to the throne.
Anticipation is high for the rivalry between Kim Rae-won and Park Hoon over the 'Stars manager' position. The intense on-field battles, combined with the strategic maneuvers and power struggles in the dugout, promise to deliver gripping tension. The fateful showdown between Kim Rae-won and Park Hoon is expected to heighten the drama's suspense.
'Full Count' is set to air in 2027.
