Shoo expressed her determination by saying, "There were unseen times leading up to this, and I can say I did my best during those times. I will focus until the end so that Korean companies can shine more here."

Shoo, born in 1981, is 44 years old this year. She married former basketball player Lim Hyo-sung in April 2010 and has a son and twin daughters. Shoo was an active member of S.E.S from 1997 to 2002. The group ceased activities after a 20th-anniversary reunion project from 2016 to 2017.

Shoo faced legal issues for habitual gambling overseas 26 times between August 2016 and May 2018, amounting to approximately 790 million won. In February 2019, she was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years, and 80 hours of community service. She later transitioned to a health food entrepreneur, cultivating Centella asiatica on a 1,500-pyeong farm, but has recently shifted her focus to cosmetics.
