Tensions Rise as Families Clash in KBS 2TV's 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri'

The families of Park Sung-woong and Lee Seo-hwan are set to face off in a dramatic showdown.

In the fifth episode of KBS 2TV's mini-series 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' (directed by Choi Yeon-soo, written by Song Jeong-rim and Wang Hye-ji, produced by Sim Story), airing on the 23rd at 9:50 PM, the tension between the 'newcomer' family of Sung Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong) and the 'veteran' family of Im Joo-hyung (played by Lee Seo-hwan) reaches a boiling point.

Previously, Sung Tae-hoon clashed with village chief Im Joo-hyung while preparing cabbage seedlings for the company 'Mat Story'. Despite their physical altercation, Sung Tae-hoon's son, Sung Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jin-woo), and Im Joo-hyung's daughter, Im Bo-mi (played by Choi Gyu-ri), shared a romantic moment, complicating the family dynamics further.

In the upcoming episode, while Sung Ji-cheon and Im Bo-mi's unexpected kiss sparks a fresh romance, the enmity between Sung Tae-hoon and Im Joo-hyung intensifies.

Tensions escalate as Sung Tae-hoon is seen in anguish over a destroyed cabbage field. Suspecting Im Joo-hyung as the culprit behind the damage to the field, which his wife Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung) and their three sons had tended with care, Sung Tae-hoon confronts Im Joo-hyung, deepening the rift between them. The reason behind Sung Tae-hoon's suspicion adds to the intrigue.

The situation spirals further out of control with a confrontation between the wives of the two families. Im Joo-hyung's wife, Nam Hye-seon (played by Nam Kwon-ah), loses her composure over a comment from Jo Mi-ryeo, leaving both Sung Tae-hoon and Jo Mi-ryeo shocked by her unexpected reaction. As the full-scale conflict between the two families unfolds, viewers are left wondering about the fate of the families and the identity of the cabbage field's saboteur.

The fifth episode of KBS 2TV's 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' airs on Thursday, the 23rd, at 9:50 PM.
