On April 20, Jay hosted a live broadcast on the fan community platform WEVERSE to celebrate his 24th birthday. However, the broadcast was disrupted by fans arguing in the comments about whether "ENHYPEN is 7" or "ENHYPEN is 6," turning the chat into chaos.
Observing the situation, Jay addressed the fans, saying, "Some of you don't seem to care about what's really happening right now." He continued, "You keep fighting over whether it's 6 or 7 members. I'm okay, but please don't do this to the other members, especially on their birthdays." He expressed his honest feelings, saying, "Today was happy for me, but I'm really anxious. I'm scared that in the future, other members might feel depressed or hurt because of situations like this."
Aftermath of Heeseung's Departure: Fan Protests
ENHYPEN, originally a seven-member group, restructured into a six-member group after the departure of eldest member Heeseung (now known as EVAN) in early March. The news of Heeseung's departure was a significant shock to both the industry and the fandom, known as 'ENGENE.' Despite Heeseung's official announcement to continue as a solo artist, some fans have been campaigning for his return.

The emotional closeness felt by fans transforms into a 'commercial right,' overshadowing the artists' personal choices and thoughts with fans' demands.
