Singer Son Seung-yeon has emerged as the ultimate winner on MBC's 'The Best'.
The final showdown aired on the 19th, featuring Son Seung-yeon, Lee Ye-jun, Huh Gak, and Kim Ki-tae as the finalists. Son Seung-yeon took the stage with a determination to give it her all.
In the first round, Son Seung-yeon performed her new song 'Only Tonight', which she co-wrote. The song, offering solace about life, was delivered with her signature vocal prowess. After her performance, she expressed, "I was worried the audience might find the pop-heavy song unfamiliar, but I'm grateful for their focus." Fellow competitor Lee Ye-jun praised Son's talent.
For the second round, Son Seung-yeon chose Lee Seung-chul's 'Mali Flower'. Her passionate rendition captured the emotions of the song, winning over the live audience.
Upon being declared the winner, Son Seung-yeon shared her emotional response. She said, "Proving my skills has sometimes been a burden, but the support I received today was a huge encouragement." She added, "I didn't cry during the audition, but memories flashed by like a panorama. I've gained confidence that I'm on the right path, and I will cherish the title of 'The Best of the Best'."
