Yoo Yeon-seok, known for his role in 'Shin-i-rang Law Office,' has once again transformed, this time into a playful character. The show, which hit its highest rating of 10.0% in episode 6, saw a dip to 6% with the premiere of IU and Byun Woo-seok's '21st Century Grand Lady' on MBC.
In the 12th episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Shin-i-rang Law Office,' aired on the 18th, Yoo Yeon-seok portrayed Shin-i-rang, a lawyer who can see ghosts. In this episode, he becomes possessed by a child ghost, Yoon Si-ho (played by Park Da-on), and faces unexpected challenges while investigating a missing person case.
During his investigation, Shin-i-rang discovers Si-ho's identity and appears as Si-ho, who is smitten with his niece, Yoon Da-bong (played by Lee Ah-rin). He sings and dances to the theme song of 'Hachuping' with Da-bong and joyfully plays at the playground. His innocent antics, including asking Han Na-hyun (played by Lee Som) if he is scary, bring laughter. Additionally, his indulgence in Si-ho's favorite pizza while possessed brings smiles to viewers.
Shin-i-rang uses a golf ball Si-ho had as a clue to find the missing location, a golf course. There, he hears a mysterious sound and realizes another child is trapped. However, his companion, Detective Jo Chi-young (played by Lee Sang-woon), suddenly turns hostile, revealing himself as the kidnapper. Despite successfully using a taser while possessed by Si-ho's superhero persona, Shin-i-rang is left in a coma after sustaining severe injuries while rescuing the child.
Yoo Yeon-seok masterfully balances comedy with mystery, bringing a unique energy to the show with his portrayal of a child's innocent demeanor and unpredictable actions. His intense gaze and decisive actions in critical moments highlight Shin-i-rang's righteous character, enhancing the tension and engagement of the storyline. Anticipation builds for how Yoo Yeon-seok will unfold the remaining story of 'Shin-i-rang Law Office.'
