Korean broadcaster Kim Dong-hyun has surprised fans with the announcement of his fourth child and a vasectomy.
On the 17th, a video titled '(Celebration) Kim Dong-hyun Announces Fourth Child' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Yubunyeohoe2'.
Kim, previously known as a father of three, casually revealed during a discussion about family planning, "Actually, there's a fourth one," shocking everyone.
Kim shared, "Initially, I thought three children would be ideal," but added, "As I raised them, I realized it would be nice to have a larger family for them to rely on each other." He also mentioned, "I love children, and my wife and I both agreed on having a big family."
Interestingly, Kim admitted that the fourth child was unexpected, saying, "We had trouble conceiving when we were trying, but once we let go of the pressure, it happened. I was told by a fortune teller that we would have a fourth child, a son."
After a family trip to the U.S., Kim recounted, "We were there for about 10 days, and it was exhausting. My wife and I rarely fight, but we did. I thought maybe we rushed into having a fourth, but after returning home, my wife showed me a positive pregnancy test in the middle of the night. I was really surprised."
Kim, who revealed his wife is currently 13 weeks pregnant, firmly stated, "There are no plans for a fifth child." He confessed, "Before we found out about the fourth, I was considering a vasectomy to avoid further indecision. I wanted to 'close the factory,' so to speak."
After confirming the fourth pregnancy, Kim humorously shared, "(As of the recording date) Yesterday, I went to the hospital just for a consultation, but they said it could be done immediately, so I went ahead with the vasectomy. It only took about 15 minutes," bringing laughter to the set.
