Prosecutors Reject Arrest Warrant for Brother of Popular K-Pop Group Member Accused of Sexual Assault
The arrest warrant for the brother of a popular K-pop girl group member, accused of sexually assaulting a female internet broadcaster, has been rejected by prosecutors.

According to legal sources on the 18th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office dismissed the arrest warrant for a man in his 30s, identified as A, citing insufficient evidence to support the charges.

A was reportedly arrested on the spot on the evening of the 15th in Seoul's Gangnam district after allegedly attempting to forcibly make physical contact with the victim at his residence. Prior to the incident, A had purchased a 'dinner date ticket' from the victim, promising not to engage in sexual contact, before taking her to his home.

The Seoul Gangnam Police Department had applied for an arrest warrant for A on charges of forced molestation, but it was not granted. A is known to be the brother of a member of a popular and well-known K-pop girl group.
