Jin Yi-han, 47, took a heartfelt step in his relationship with Jung Yi-joo, who is 11 years his junior, by surprising her with an impromptu 'after-work date' in Hanam, where she resides.
On the October 16th episode of Channel A's 'Groom Class 2', Jin Yi-han sought advice from his 'close friend' Wax before meeting Jung Yi-joo. Jin Yi-han shared, "When I first met Yi-joo, everything was great, but now things have become more serious. I'm more curious about her." Wax advised, "You need to be more proactive," prompting Jin Yi-han to call Jung Yi-joo on the spot. He asked, "Can we meet briefly after work?" and when she agreed, he headed to her neighborhood in Hanam with a big smile.
The two met casually for their 'lightning date' at Jung Yi-joo's favorite lamb restaurant. Jin Yi-han complimented, "Yi-joo, you smell the best today," to which Jung Yi-joo responded, "I was surprised by the sudden invitation, but I'm really grateful and happy." Throughout the meal, Jin Yi-han's playful nature shone through, making Jung Yi-joo feel more at ease as she playfully nudged his shoulder. They ended the meal in a cozy atmosphere, expressing curiosity about each other's everyday selves.
As the clock ticked past 10 PM, the pair took a night stroll towards Jung Yi-joo's home. Jin Yi-han, reluctant to part ways, suggested, "The convenience store near your house looks nice, let's grab a drink." While warming up with hot beverages, Jin Yi-han noticed Jung Yi-joo shivering in her thin clothes and offered her his coat. Before saying goodbye, he gifted her a book from his coat, saying, "I thought of you when I bought this," and showed her a heartfelt message he had written. He casually set up their next meeting by asking her to share her thoughts on the book later. As they lingered, reluctant to part, 'Principal' Lee Seung-chul commented, "It must have been hard to say goodbye," genuinely rooting for the couple.
