Actor Jung Woo Makes Directorial Debut with Film 'Jjangu'
Actor Jung Woo has made his directorial debut with the film 'Jjangu'.

The press screening for 'Jjangu' (directed by Oh Seong-ho and Jung Woo) took place on the 16th at the Yongsan I'Park Mall CGV in Seoul. The event was attended by Jung Woo, Jung Soo-jung, Shin Seung-ho, Jo Beom-gyu, Kwon So-hyun, and director Oh Seong-ho.

'Jjangu' is a delightful and passionate story about 'Jjangu' (played by Jung Woo), a genius at auditions who perseveres through setbacks and failures with the sole desire to become an actor.

On this day, Jung Woo spoke about writing the script, co-directing, and starring in the film, saying, "The character Jjangu is very meaningful in my acting career. My nickname has been Jjangu since I was 2 or 3 years old, and I thought a lot about my father while working on 'Wind'." He added, "It was nice to play the character Jjangu again 16 years after 'Wind'. I hope the audience will also welcome it."

He continued, "During filming, there can be physical challenges and pressure. I don't know if I should say this, but I had fun. In a difficult film market, I'm grateful just to be able to work on a project. I was happy and enjoyed every day making a film from my own story."

'Jjangu' is set to be released on the 22nd.
