It's hard to find what you want to do in life. If there's something they want to pursue, they should try it without regrets."
The financial burden was also discussed. A mother raising two out of three children in the arts mentioned, "Dance academy, vocal lessons, and other tuition like English and math cost at least 5 million won." Another mother with two children in the arts added, "Both of my kids are in the arts, so it costs around 5 million won. It's hard to say this is average, but how much support we can provide is crucial, and it's not easy for parents to compromise on that."
Parents' concerns extended beyond finances to their children's career paths. One mother stated, "While the child is pursuing the dream of becoming an idol, parents have to consider other paths. We are also considering other options in the entertainment industry." Academic pursuits were also a priority for parents. Additionally, concerns about children's growth, selecting audition songs that match their vocal range, and other realistic issues faced by trainee moms were discussed.
During the academy experience, current instructors shared trends and tips for agency auditions. The dance academy director explained, "Recently, agencies are focusing more on physical appearance." The vocal instructor advised, "Choose songs that match your vocal range for auditions. It's not recommended to perform trending songs." The dance instructor emphasized, "Confidence is key in dance. You need to show that you can dance confidently."
Park Semi also met with students currently preparing to become idols, listening to their concerns, audition experiences, and future plans. Detailed information about various audition formats and application methods was also introduced.
