Sixth Sense Director Denies Sexual Assault Allegations in Court
The director of the popular variety show 'Sixth Sense', identified as PD A, has denied allegations of sexual assault.

On the 14th, the first trial for PD A's sexual assault charges was held at the Seoul Western District Court. Due to the nature of the case, the trial was conducted privately.

After the hearing, PD A's representatives stated, "We have denied all charges. As the trial is ongoing, we have no further comments at this time."

The alleged victim, identified as B, also released a statement. B's representatives argued, "The accused claims there was physical contact but no intent, suggesting it was due to familiarity. This is a difficult claim to accept. It's disappointing that they attempted to frame this as a jury trial. This is a typical defense strategy. Physical contact and assault are fundamentally different." They added, "If A's claims are true, it raises questions about how the victim could be excluded from work yet still be close enough for unintentional contact."

Sixth Sense Director Denies Sexual Assault Allegations in Court
PD A, known for directing several programs including tvN's 'Sixth Sense', is accused of making unwanted physical contact with a junior staff member, B, after a company dinner in September last year in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The Seoul Mapo Police initially decided not to charge A, citing difficulty in proving intent despite acknowledging the physical contact. However, following an appeal from B, the prosecution conducted further investigations and obtained CCTV footage showing B pushing A away. Based on this evidence, A was indicted without detention in February. The next hearing is scheduled for May 26.
