Lee Sang-min Discusses 'Sangmin's Perspective' After Clearing $6.9 Million Debt

Lee Sang-min, who recently cleared a $6.9 million debt after 20 years, shared insights on his 'Sangmin's Perspective.'

On the 16th episode of KBS Joy's 'Ghost Story Note 2,' airing at 11:40 PM on the 15th, a touching story of a son who sacrificed his own body to save his mother will be revealed.

The devoted son underwent a liver transplant surgery to save his critically ill mother. However, post-surgery, her condition worsened, and the transplanted liver failed to function, putting her life at risk once again. Despite the dire situation, the son sought hope from a shaman.

Upon meeting the son, the shaman immediately declared, "She will live, don't worry," a rare confident assurance from someone who usually refrains from making bold claims about life and death. The shaman, surprised by their own certainty, investigated the family's history by visiting their home and ancestral burial site. There, it was discovered that the ancestors' anger was directed at the mother.

It turned out that the mother had often blamed her ancestors during times of misfortune, leading them to turn their backs on her. The shaman continued to pray fervently to reconcile with the ancestors, receiving a message that "it would be possible in fifteen days."

Miraculously, exactly 12 days later, a donor appeared, giving the mother another chance at life. This event highlighted the importance of gratitude over resentment, as the ancestors' anger was appeased.

Lee Sang-min, intrigued by the meaning and delivery of the shaman's message, learned that "the message is not the shaman's words but those conveyed through the spirit," and cannot be fabricated. The shaman added that repeated resentment could weaken protective energies.

Lee Sang-min shared his own perspective, saying, "Whenever things go wrong or problems arise, I think, 'There must be a reason,' and view it as an opportunity for a blessing in disguise," coining the term 'Sangmin's Perspective.'

Meanwhile, Lee Sang-min divorced Lee Hye-young in 2004 after 1 year and 2 months of marriage. Last year, he registered his marriage with a non-celebrity 10 years his junior.
