BTS's latest hit 'SWIM' has secured a spot in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks.
According to Billboard's chart preview article published on April 14, 'SWIM' ranked 5th on the main song chart 'Hot 100' for the week of April 18. The track initially topped the chart on April 4 and has remained in the top 5 since.
'SWIM' also claimed the number one spot on the 'Global 200', 'Global (Excluding US)', and 'Digital Song Sales' charts for three weeks in a row. As reported by Luminate, a US entertainment industry data research firm, 'SWIM' achieved 83.3 million streams and 44,000 downloads on the 'Global 200' during the tracking period of April 3 to April 9. Other tracks from the album also performed well, with 'Body to Body' reaching 7th on the 'Global 200'. In the 'Global (Excluding US)' chart, 'SWIM' led the way at number 1, followed by 'Body to Body' (4th), '2.0' (5th), and 'Hooligan' (7th), making a total of four tracks in the top 10.
The album 'ARIRANG' has maintained its number one position on the main album chart 'Billboard 200' for three consecutive weeks, setting a record as the first and longest-running Korean artist to do so. This marks the first time since 2012 that a group album has topped the chart for three consecutive weeks. Previously, 'ARIRANG' debuted at number one on the 'Billboard 200' for the week of April 4 with 641,000 album units, the highest for a group album since Billboard began tracking units in December 2014. The album's first-week pure sales (physical and digital) were the highest for any group album released in the past decade. The SEA units (streaming equivalent albums) also set a new weekly streaming record for BTS.
BTS continues to dominate Spotify's latest weekly charts (tracking period: April 3 to April 9), holding the top spot on both the 'Weekly Top Albums' and 'Weekly Top Songs' for three weeks. Notably, 'SWIM' maintained its number one position on the 'Daily Top Song Global' chart for 24 consecutive days from March 20 to April 12.
The group also achieved impressive results in Asia, Europe, and Oceania. In Japan, they ranked 2nd on both the 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking' and 'Weekly Combined Album Ranking' (April 13, tracking period: March 30 to April 5), and 3rd on the 'Weekly Album Ranking'. In Europe, 'SWIM' reclaimed the top spot on Germany's Official Music Chart 'Top 100 Albums' (April 10), while 'ARIRANG' secured 5th place on the UK's Official Chart 'Official Albums Top 100' (April 10 to April 16), marking three weeks in the top ranks. The album also reached 2nd place on France's SNEP 'Top Albums' (tracking period: April 3 to April 9) and Australia's ARIA 'Top 50 Albums' (April 13).
BTS kicked off their 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on April 9, 11, and 12, performing for over 132,000 fans over three days. The tour will continue in Japan on April 17 and 18, followed by performances in North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. They are set to return to the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13, marking their first visit in three years and eight months.
