Kim Jae-won, along with Moon Sang-min and Lee Chae-min, is emerging as a leading actor of the 2000s generation, marking a generational shift. Regarding this, he expressed, "I'm just grateful to be called that. I'm simply doing my best in my role, and I'm thankful that people see it positively."

When asked about his strengths, he humorously stated, "Rather than my strengths, my biggest weapon is having the lovely Go-eun noona (older sister) by my side. That's my greatest asset. I had a blast filming this project without any regrets, trusting her completely on set. I hope my charm as Sun-rok shines through. Working with Kim Go-eun noona is like a game-changer."

Kim Jae-won plays the role of Sun-rok, the PD who brings excitement to Yumi's otherwise monotonous life. He also discussed the similarities between his real personality and his character. He explained, "In real life, I'm bright and playful. If I were to find common ground with Sun-rok, it's that I try to be more rational and planned when working. Sun-rok is also a cool-headed and rational character at work. However, when he returns home, his playful side emerges, which is similar to my true personality. I have a J-type personality, so about 98% of that comes out when I'm working. I felt a connection with Sun-rok while filming."

Director Lee Sang-yeob shared why he cast Kim Jae-won, saying, "While preparing for casting, I saw Jae-won in various projects. Despite not having a long career, he has portrayed diverse characters. When I met him, he left a strong impression with his tall stature, and he fit well with the image of Sun-rok in the original work, with his angular glasses and suit. During our conversation, he seemed nervous but handled it skillfully, which was impressive. He closely resembled the Sun-rok I envisioned."

'Yumi's Cells' will premiere on TVING at 6 PM on the 13th, followed by its first broadcast on tvN at 8:50 PM.
