BTS's Jungkook Addresses Live Broadcast Controversy at 'ARIRANG' World Tour

BTS's Jungkook confronts live broadcast controversy head-on, expressing sincerity to fans.

BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) kicked off their 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on the 11th. Following the opening of their world tour on the 10th, BTS will perform in Goyang for a total of three days, concluding on the 12th.

Towards the end of the performance, Jungkook addressed the recent live broadcast controversy. Bowing to the audience in gratitude, he stated, "Today marks the end of our second performance. I'm relieved that no one got hurt and that the show concluded safely. The weather and your cheers were perfect, making me feel great."

He continued, "I've been involved in several live broadcasts recently, which sparked controversy. Regardless of the situation, I hope you know that my feelings towards you are genuine. I will continue to give my all on stage. Please wait for us, and we'll repay you with diverse and amazing performances. Thank you and I love you."

Previously, Jungkook was at the center of controversy for a live broadcast in February where he used profanity while intoxicated. On the 8th, he addressed the issue, saying, "I'm not sure if I did anything wrong, but if ARMY (fan club name) felt uncomfortable, I'm sorry." He added, "I wanted to apologize once because I was sincere with you all."

The world tour will span 34 cities across Tokyo, North America, Europe, South America, and Asia, with 85 shows in total, marking the highest number of performances for a single tour by a Korean artist. Additional shows are planned in Japan and the Middle East, potentially expanding the tour's scale. All 46 performances, including the three in Goyang, Tokyo Dome, and tours in North America and Europe, are sold out. In some regions of North and South America, BTS will be the first Korean artist to perform solo at stadium venues.

After meeting fans in Goyang for three days, BTS will continue their tour at Tokyo Dome on the 17th and 18th.
