Hong Hyun-hee and Jay Written witnessed a significant milestone in their son Junbeom's growth.
On the 10th, the YouTube channel 'Hong Hyun-hee Jay Written's HongssunTV' released a video titled 'Why Junbeom Rode the Water Slide Alone'.
The video showcased the second day of the couple's trip to Guam. Their 3-year-old son Junbeom was eager for water play from the morning, and Hong Hyun-hee commented, "It's thanks to you all. Junbeom really wants to swim." However, the weather took an unexpected turn. The sunny sky quickly became overcast, and it eventually started to rain.
Despite the rain, Junbeom continued to play in the water with more enthusiasm than before. Watching him, Hong Hyun-hee expressed concern, saying, "You'll catch a cold. It's cold." However, Junbeom seemed more at ease and showed noticeable changes in the water.
At the heated pool, Hong Hyun-hee suggested to Jay Written, "Let's have some time alone for three hours," but Jay Written declined, saying, "Why are you like this?" Junbeom also chimed in, "I'll ride on your back," adding to the humor.
Junbeom showed growth during their time in Guam by attempting to ride the water slide alone. Although Jay Written tried to persuade him to ride together, Junbeom hesitated, saying, "I'll push you, Dad."
Encouraged by those around him, Junbeom asked, "Can I do it?" and then decided, "Wait for me at the bottom. I'll try it." He then climbed the water slide alone and slid down, surprising everyone.
Jay Written was astonished, saying, "I can't believe it. The most timid of the timid is doing it alone." Hong Hyun-hee, who saw the situation later, was equally amazed, exclaiming, "What? He went down alone? Unbelievable."
Junbeom didn't stop at one success. He confidently said, "I can ride that," and attempted the slide again, showing a more natural descent. Hong Hyun-hee expressed her overwhelming emotions, saying, "I'm so moved. We've learned a lot in Guam."
She also candidly shared her thoughts as a parent, saying, "If I say I'm scared, Junbeom gets scared too. Instead, children want to hear 'It's okay, you can do it.' I was worried about him swallowing water while swimming, but he needs to experience it to learn." She added, "Parents aren't perfect. We're learning together as we raise our child."
