Three stars connected by their roles in historical dramas about King Danjong are set to meet the 'Knowing Bros'.
On November 11 at 9 PM, JTBC's 'Knowing Bros' will feature actor Lee Min-woo, actor Jung Tae-woo, and acclaimed history lecturer Seol Min-seok, all known for their association with the historical figure Danjong. The trio will engage in a historical talk about Danjong and share behind-the-scenes stories from period dramas that have never been heard before.
During the episode, Lee Min-woo reveals an unexpected behind-the-scenes story, saying, “When filming historical dramas, playing a king is great because you don't have to move much and can just sit. The only challenging part in the harsh filming conditions was acting while eating, as you have to lift and put down the spoon.” Jung Tae-woo adds humor by saying, “While the king just gives orders, other roles require riding horses and moving around a lot, making it tough. Even though we receive the same pay per episode, the difficulty level of filming varies.”
Jung Tae-woo also shares his admiration for actor Park Ji-hoon, saying, “I have been watching Park Ji-hoon since the drama 'Weak Hero'. His eyes are warm, sad, and charismatic.” Lee Min-woo expresses his warm regard for his junior, stating, “I thought it was impressive how he maintained his physical and mental state throughout the filming of 'The King and the Clown' after reading an interview about it.”
Seol Min-seok shares a special behind-the-scenes story, saying, “I graduated from Dankook University's Department of Theater and Film, where I studied alongside actors Yoo Ji-tae and Ha Ji-won. The storytelling techniques and method acting I learned there have shaped who I am today.” In the second part of the episode, Seol Min-seok will deliver a lecture on Danjong, covering stories before and after 'The King and the Clown' and revealing untold tales, raising anticipation.
The episode featuring Lee Min-woo, Jung Tae-woo, and Seol Min-seok, united by their roles as King Danjong, will air at 9 PM.
