Premiering on May 11, the TVING original series 'The Legendary Cook's Assistant' is a military cooking fantasy drama that follows Private Kang Sung-jae, who trades his rifle for a kitchen knife and his ammo belt for an apron, as he transforms into a legendary cook.
Based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name, this series marks Park Ji-hoon's next project after his rise to fame with the film 'The King and the Clown', which attracted over ten million viewers. The first poster featuring Park Ji-hoon as Kang Sung-jae, dressed in a chef's uniform instead of royal robes, has been unveiled.
The poster showcases the phrase "A kitchen knife instead of a rifle! An apron instead of an ammo belt!" alongside a confident Kang Sung-jae (played by Park Ji-hoon) in the kitchen rather than on the parade ground. Despite his 'attention-seeking soldier' badge, Kang Sung-jae's skilled wok handling and determined gaze exude a justified confidence.
Particularly eye-catching is the virtual quest window surrounding Kang Sung-jae, with the message "Welcome, hero. Your journey as a cook begins now," signaling the start of his culinary adventure. As curiosity about this game-like quest window grows, anticipation builds for the emergence of the legendary cook who will captivate the taste buds of all his fellow soldiers.
'The Legendary Cook's Assistant' will premiere on May 11 at 8:50 PM.
