The highly anticipated TVING original series 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' is set to premiere on Monday, the 13th. On the 8th, character stills featuring Jeon Seok-ho, Choi Daniel, Jo Hye-jung, Mi-ram, and Park Se-in were released, heightening expectations for the series.
Returning after four years, 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' follows the story of Yumi, played by Kim Go-eun, who has become a star writer. Her peaceful life is disrupted by the unexpected arrival of a new character, Soon-rok, played by Kim Jae-won, leading to a rollercoaster of emotions and romance. The series reunites director Lee Sang-yeob with writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran, alongside the addition of rising star Kim Jae-won, promising an exciting season.
Choi Daniel joins the cast as Ju-ho, a character not present in the original work. Ju-ho is a popular author at Julie Publishing and is managed by Soon-rok. Known for his charm and boldness, Ju-ho approaches Yumi with a different appeal. The main trailer previously showed a scene where Dae-yong suggests that Yumi and Ju-ho make a good match, to which Soon-rok disagrees, sparking curiosity about Ju-ho's role in Season 3.
Jo Hye-jung, the daughter of actor Jo Jae-hyun, brings her lively charm to the role of Na-hee, Yumi's assistant writer, adding energy to the series. Mi-ram plays Yi-da, Yumi's supportive friend, while Park Se-in portrays PD Jang, Yumi's producer, both of whom are expected to shine.
Director Lee Sang-yeob commented, "Jeon Seok-ho as Dae-yong continues to exude his unique charm, while Mi-ram as Yi-da provides warm support for Yumi's concerns." He added, "All the actors, including Jo Hye-jung, Mi-ram, and Park Se-in, performed their roles perfectly." Regarding Choi Daniel's casting as Ju-ho, Lee explained, "The character has a sharpness typical of a writer but is also humorous and sly, making Choi Daniel a perfect fit." This new character, not found in the original, is expected to bring fresh stories to the series.
'Yumi's Cells Season 3' will be exclusively pre-released on TVING every Monday at 6 PM with two episodes, and will air on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM with one episode each.
