K-pop sensation Hwasa (30) recently shared her thoughts on experiencing a 'good goodbye' amidst ongoing dating rumors with a businessman 12 years her senior.
On April 7, Hwasa appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel TEO's web variety show 'Salon Drip,' in an episode titled 'Springtime Tips for Radiant Heels.'
Hwasa gained attention last year with her duet performance of 'Good Goodbye' with Park Jung-min at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards, which led to a resurgence of the song on music charts. Reflecting on the song, Hwasa said, "Before its release, reactions were mixed. Some didn't understand the concept of a 'good goodbye,' questioning if such a thing exists. However, those who got it were deeply moved. I realized I needed to convey my message clearly for it to resonate."
When asked if she has experienced a good goodbye, Hwasa replied, "I have, I am, and I think I will continue to do so." She defined a good goodbye as "supporting the other person, whether you feel resentment or longing, by wishing them well."
Hwasa candidly admitted to checking her ex's social media, saying, "I look at it a lot and pretend I haven't seen it." She also speculated that someone might think 'Good Goodbye' is about them, adding with a smile, "They probably cried a lot."
Meanwhile, Hwasa was rumored to be dating a businessman 12 years her senior for five years as of 2024. Her agency stated, "It's difficult to confirm as it pertains to the artist's private life. We ask for your understanding and apologize." Hwasa later addressed her relationship status on the show 'Narae's Style' in March last year, stating to Park Na-rae and Han Hye-jin, "All three of us are single right now."
