Joo Ji-hoon Discusses Same-Sex Kiss Scene in 'Climax': 'It's Just a Reflection of Reality'
Actor Joo Ji-hoon addressed the same-sex kiss scene in 'Climax', stating, "It's merely a depiction of what exists in the world, not something one is obliged to accept."

On the 7th, Joo Ji-hoon was interviewed at the ENA conference room in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, where he discussed his role in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Climax'.

'Climax' portrays the intense survival drama of prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, played by Joo Ji-hoon, who dives into a power cartel to reach the pinnacle of success in South Korea.

Previously, 'Climax' garnered attention with a same-sex kiss scene featuring Ha Ji-won (as Choo Sang-ah), Yoon Dong-hee (as Han Ji-soo), and Nana (as Hwang Jung-won). When asked if he was aware of this storyline before filming, Joo Ji-hoon confirmed, "I knew about it," adding, "It's just a reflection of reality, not something one must accept. People have ambivalent feelings, often unspoken, shaped by societal images and prejudices."

Regarding viewers' disappointment over the lack of a romantic storyline with Ha Ji-won, Joo Ji-hoon commented, "I understand why they might feel that way," with a smile. He further explained, "The word 'love' encompasses emotions like affection, time, and camaraderie. The remaining episodes are truly exciting, so please watch from episode 8 onwards."

'Climax' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM.
