On the 7th, Joo Ji-hoon was interviewed at the ENA conference room in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, where he is starring in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Climax'.
'Climax' depicts the intense survival drama of prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, who dives into the power cartel to reach the top position in Korea. Joo Ji-hoon plays the role of Bang Tae-seop, who stands at the center of power.
Although 'Climax' is currently experiencing a slight dip with a 3% viewership rating, its buzz remains strong. Regarding this, Joo Ji-hoon commented, "I've received a lot of calls from people around me. I already have a masculine image, but I've been told it appears even stronger in this work. Personally, I thought, 'I shot it well.'"
Questions also arose about the upcoming MBC drama '21st Century Grand Princess', set to premiere on the 10th. Given its similarity to the modern court romance genre of 'Princess Hours', comparisons were inevitable. When asked if he would pass on the throne to Byun Woo-seok, Joo Ji-hoon humorously replied, "I won't pass it on. I still have my next project, 'The Remarried Empress', so how can I pass it on?" He added, "It's a work by a good director, so I think it will turn out to be fun."
'Climax' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM.
