Actor Kim Min-jun recently shared a humorous behind-the-scenes story from the set of the movie 'The Oni' that left an elderly woman fainting due to his monster costume.
On the October 5th episode of TV Chosun's 'Gourmet Journey with Heo Young-man' (hereafter 'Gourmet Journey'), Kim Min-jun joined the host on a culinary trip to Goseong, Gangwon Province.
Kim Min-jun recounted the challenges of filming the blockbuster 'The Oni'. He explained, "I played the role of a Japanese monster 'Oni'. The makeup process took six hours from head to toe." Host Heo Young-man expressed sympathy, saying, "That must have been tough." Kim Min-jun added humorously, "With long nails attached, even going to the bathroom was a challenge. As a man, it was hard to pull down my pants, so I had to ask my manager for help," eliciting laughter.
Kim Min-jun continued with another anecdote, "We were filming in a rural village during a reddish sunset. I was walking up a hill in my monster costume when I encountered an elderly woman. She was carrying something and fainted at the sight of me." He added, "I had fangs on, so my speech was slurred, but I tried to reassure her, saying, 'Are you okay, ma'am? We're filming.' That only startled her more," he said, sharing the amusing incident.
