In the latest episode of MBC's 'Your Glorious Season' (directed by Jung Sang-hee, Kim Young-jae/written by Jo Sung-hee), which aired last night at 9:50 PM, the harsh fate surrounding Song Ha-ran (played by Lee Sung-kyung) and Sun Woo-chan (played by Chae Jong-hyeop) was unraveled, leading to a perfect happy ending.
In this episode, Sun Woo-chan suddenly submitted his resignation and disappeared, but Song Ha-ran did not give up. She pursued his whereabouts, piecing together the hidden truths.
Meeting with Park Man-jae (played by Kang Seok-woo), Song Ha-ran realized that Sun Woo-chan had been struggling to convey his true feelings to her for many years, leading her to deep regret. Song Ha-ran reflected, "No matter what secret Sun Woo-chan holds, I can't bring myself to hate him," confirming her profound love over resentment.
The core mystery of the drama, the Boston explosion incident from seven years ago, was clarified through Cha Soo-jin's (played by Lee Joo-yeon) confession. Cha Soo-jin, who had developed a romantic relationship with Kang Hyuk-chan (played by Kwon Do-hyung) in the hospital, testified about Kang Hyuk-chan's decision to end his relationship with Song Ha-ran and the ensuing conflict with Sun Woo-chan. On the day of the incident, Kang Hyuk-chan, upon learning that Sun Woo-chan had spoken with Song Ha-ran, became enraged, leading to a physical altercation, with Cha Soo-jin trying to intervene in the tense situation.
During this time, Kang Hyuk-chan accidentally dropped a lighter, which ignited the explosion. Kang Hyuk-chan lost his life, and Sun Woo-chan suffered severe injuries. It was revealed that Sun Woo-chan, contrary to his guilt-ridden belief of being the perpetrator, was actually an innocent victim of Kang Hyuk-chan's negligence, correcting the distorted memories.
Having cleared all misunderstandings, Song Ha-ran restored the drawing pad left by Sun Woo-chan, confirming their fateful connection and his consistent sincerity, as she had saved his life twice seven years ago. Song Ha-ran immediately headed to Gangneung, where she reunited with Sun Woo-chan standing alone by the sea, offering him warm comfort with the words, "It's not your fault," soothing his long-standing pain.
Freed from the ghosts of their past, the two reaffirmed each other's presence, sharing a tearful embrace. Following a successful surgery to remove the fragments from his body, Sun Woo-chan proposed to Song Ha-ran, saying, "Will you be with me for all the seasons to come?" promising eternal love.
