Korean announcer Park Eun-young has opened up about her experience with the birth of her second child.
On October 3rd, Park Eun-young's YouTube channel 'Anamorna Park Eun-young' released a video titled 'Natural Birth Was the Easiest. The Icon of Advanced Maternal Age(?) Park Eun-young's Epic Birth Story (feat. Postpartum Diet Tips, Natural Birth Breathing Techniques)'.
In the video, Park discussed recent childbirth trends, noting, "Many young mothers today opt for elective C-sections. I completely understand and empathize with that choice. It allows for scheduling without any surprises."
However, she strongly recommended natural birth, saying, "I still advocate for natural birth. The recovery is incredibly fast. People worry about my well-being, but I feel perfectly fine. The recovery speed with natural birth is definitely quicker."
Park, who gave birth to her second child at the age of 45, shared her detailed experience. She chose induced labor and explained, "I had an epidural, and it didn't hurt at all. It felt like a watermelon was moving down with each contraction, then going back up when it stopped, repeating about three times."
The birth progressed faster than expected. Park recalled, "The resident doctor was about to check me when they exclaimed, 'I can see the baby's head!' The professor rushed in, and the delivery proceeded immediately."
Park shared, "The professor said it was a very graceful delivery. My husband is very lucky," she laughed. She added, "I'm grateful that I could have a smooth natural birth despite my age."
She also offered practical advice for expectant mothers considering natural birth. Park emphasized, "Watching videos on breathing techniques for childbirth is helpful. Even with an epidural, knowing how to push makes it much easier."
Park candidly discussed postpartum care, saying, "Recovery is quick, but losing weight is challenging. Balancing exercise and diet while caring for a child is tough." She added, "I'm trying to manage little by little."
Park Eun-young married businessman Kim Hyung-woo in 2019, welcomed their first son in 2021, and recently gained attention for giving birth to their second daughter naturally at the age of 45.
